Celebrate the champions of Hampshire’s hospitality
Monday August 19th, 2019
A great opportunity to showcase the best of Hampshire’s hospitality industry has been launched.
The 2020 Hospitality Awards, promoted by the Southampton and Region Hoteliers Association and supported by Saints Events, was launched at the prestigious St Mary’s Stadium in Southampton.
Designed to recognise and celebrate the Champions of the Hampshire Hospitality industry and seek out high achievers and teams, the awards will seek to showcase the very best in the Hampshire hospitality sector.
The UK Hospitality industry has one of the highest levels of labour productivity growth – more than double the growth rate of the overall UK economy and is the fourth largest employer in the UK.
Founder of the awards, Richard Groome, General Manager at Doubletree by Hilton Hotel said; ‘’The awards are a brilliant example of collaboration between hoteliers, venues and local businesses in the county. Last year’s awards were a massive success and I’m looking forward to seeing them bigger and better in 2020.”
The non-profit awards will again donate a portion of the ceremony ticket sales to the charity FareShare; the UK’s largest charity fighting hunger and food waste, by saving food from going to waste and redistributing it to frontline charities. Last year’s awards enabled the Association to provide £2,000 for the charity.
Voting for the Hospitality Awards is open to members of the Southampton & Region Hoteliers Association and will close at the beginning of November.
