The Hampshire coastline has many attractive harbors, marinas, and estuaries. The county is home to the internationally renowned Boat Show in Southampton and the annual Cowes Week on the Isle of Wight which attracts over 100,000 spectators.

The cities of Portsmouth and Southampton have a thriving nightlife, while the historic town of Winchester is steeped in history and personality. All our towns have a unique character and are surrounded by tranquil villages, offering a great sense of community.

Hampshire offers an award-winning locally sourced food and drink offers; it stages the month-long Hampshire Food Festival every summer and is home to celebrity chefs including James Martin and Angela Hartnett. Hampshire is arguably the sparkling wine region of the UK, being home to leading vineyards such as Hattingley Valley and Hambledon.

Where special moments are made

Sports fans are spoilt in Hampshire with the range of sporting facilities on offer, including the Ageas Bowl; it is also home to Hampshire Cricket Club and is a regular venue for international fixtures. Football fans get to choose from two premier league teams, Southampton FC (Premier League) and Portsmouth FC (League One).

For those passionate about watersports, Hampshire is one of the key sailing centres of the south coast, with marinas in Hamble, Gosport, and Lymington.
