How ‘building momentum’ in the construction and waste industry has seen a small business based in Fareham, Hampshire grow into a well-known UK brand.
Founded in 1995, Nationwide Hire Ltd has grown to become a £17m company with 70 staff, a supply chain of over 1,200 suppliers and access to over 9,000 locations around the UK and Ireland.
Growth and investment
Jonathan Holley, Managing Director said; “The business is seeing continuous growth, this year we moved into new premises in Hampshire and we plan to double our team over the next four years.
We also have plans to invest in new digital technology as we have an expansive supply chain and network of customer to manage. We plan to invest in a ‘best-in-class’ online customer acquisition engine [a new technology platform]. It is important that we continue to meet our customer needs as we grow and still give them a first-class service. We need technology to help and support us to do that as we expand across the UK and Europe”.
Nationwide manage a network of over 4,000 suppliers across 9,000 locations and five million products. They support a wide range of clients from construction and facilities management, to retailers and hospitality.
Jonathon continues, “Here at Nationwide Hire, we think we all know who our business customers but sometimes you do get the odd request that all gets us thinking, like the time we were asked to help a well-known Zoo in the UK with a Bison delivery.”
