A business selling customised blades and accessories to woodwork trades in the UK has relocated to brand-new premises in south Hampshire.

Key Blades & Fixings is the second occupier in at Concorde Park, the recently completed light industrial and logistics development at Segensworth, Fareham.

Founded three years ago by carpenters Mitch Hackshaw, 31, and Lee Coffin, 44, the tools and equipment stockist signed a five-year lease on unit 4.

Concorde Park, close to junction 9 of the M27, comprises 10 units from 3,000 sq ft to 40,000 sq ft; the speculative scheme is by developer and owner Kingsbridge Estates.

CBRE, joint marketing agents with Vail Williams, acted for Kingsbridge Estates in the letting to Key Blades & Fixings, which was previously located two miles away at Swanwick.

The majority of sales are online at Key Blades & Fixings, which stocks products designed and patented by Mitch and Lee under the company brand.

Employing five people, the family-run company worked without interruption during the pandemic and is set to generate new jobs, starting with a warehouse operative.

Mitch said: “Concorde Park was brought to our attention by a business neighbour at our former workplace – the unit is smart, well thought out and just up the road from the M27 for convenient transportation of orders.”

Joint agent Oliver Sherriff, Senior Surveyor at CBRE, said: “The letting shows the depth of demand for good quality new industrial properties in the market and it is great to welcome Mitch and Lee to the estate to continue the rapid growth of their business.”

Russell Mogridge, Lead Partner for Vail Williams’ Agency, said: “The swift signings of Key Blades & Fixings and Amigo Wraps are testament to the quality provision of Concorde Park, which is aimed at manufacturing, light assembly and storage and distribution.

“We are in negotiations on a number of other units on the scheme, demonstrating the pent-up demand for new premises.”

Amigo Wraps, a car wrapping business, was the first occupier in, signing a 10-year lease on 3,000 sq ft unit 2, at £32,700 per annum.
