Cyber solutions for global communications

Tuesday October 19th, 2021

Based in Fareham, Hampshire, Beyond Encryption is a high growth SaaS business that supports businesses in their digital transformations.

With an accelerated use of digital communications placing cyber security at the heart of many businesses, Beyond Encryption’s secure email solution, Mailock, offers military-grade encryption and two-factor authentication to assist companies with securely distributing and receiving sensitive data.

CEO Paul Holland said, “The ‘new normal’ has caused businesses worldwide to revaluate their digital proposition, with customers now consistently expecting companies to provide online communication and services. Mailock not only increases the security of company and client email, but it also contributes to a significant decrease in environmentally harmful practices, such as traditional postal services. Ensuring ESG compliance and contributing to the net zero initiative through the preservation of resources is something every company should be carrying out.”

Mailock’s capabilities have led Beyond Encryption to be crowned the Winners of the 2020 ‘Best in Show’ Award at the Empowering Advice Through Technology event, as well as securing their certification as a HM Government G-Cloud supplier and attracting a host of well-known industry partners.

In February 2021, enterprise communications provider Paragon Customer Communications (PCC), one of Europe’s largest traditional communications outsource providers, selected Beyond Encryption to deliver email security in response to their increasing digital demands. A minority stake in the business was also secured by West Coast Limited, who employ over 1,600 people in the UK, Ireland and Europe, and serve as an IT distributor for Microsoft, Apple, HP and Lenovo.

Beyond Encryption also provide cyber security solutions to international corporates, such as Aegon and Royal London, as part of an industry-wide financial services initiative with Scottish fintech Origo Services.

Established in 2016, Beyond Encryption is at the forefront of the growing cyber cluster within Hampshire, contributing to the thriving hub of innovation and activity in the region. They are planning to achieve an impressive level of growth in the coming years to reflect this, with 20 new roles expected to take place by 2022, bringing the workforce to 50 employees.

Paul Holland said, “I originally chose Fareham to be our home as it’s the perfect location for an ambitious business to flourish. Hampshire is host to several major universities and cities that provide us with remarkable graduates and working professionals, many of whom we are fortunate enough to employ. Beyond Encryption is passionate about providing these talented individuals with the resources and skills necessary to fully support our wonderful customers.”
