Tech businesses flock to innovation centre

The Fareham Innovation Centre, a flourishing innovation centre for start-ups and early-stage businesses is already three-quarters full within 12 months of the official unveiling of a multi-million-pound extension.

 

 

Currently home to 39 companies and organisations, the centre has 55 offices, 20 workshops, and an impressive meeting and conference centre.

Since the opening of a £7 million extension last May, take-up has increase with businesses drawn to a flourishing ecosystem of tech entrepreneurs and now has 250 people employed by 39 occupiers.

Companies on the site, which is within Solent Enterprise Zone and by Solent Airport, are predominately aviation, aerospace, marine, maritime and advanced manufacturing. 

The site is one of four in Hampshire, managed by Oxford Innovation.  Another key location is the Ocean Village Innovation Centre,  situated in the stunning Ocean Village Marina offering  bright, professional office spaces, with parking for new and established businesses.
