Tech businesses flock to innovation centre

The Fareham Innovation Centre, a flourishing innovation centre for start-ups and early-stage businesses, is continuing to build on early occupation of companies since its expansion in 2018 and is filling up fast.
Currently home to over 39 companies and organisations, the centre has 55 offices, 20 workshops, and an impressive meeting and conference centre.
Since the opening of a £7 million extension in May 2018, take-up has increased with businesses drawn to a flourishing ecosystem of tech entrepreneurs and now has 250 people employed by 39 occupiers.
Companies on the site, which is within Solent Enterprise Zone and adjacent to Solent Airport, are predominately aviation, aerospace, marine, maritime and advanced manufacturing.
The site is one of four in Hampshire, managed by Oxford Innovation. Another key location is the Ocean Village Innovation Centre, situated in the stunning Ocean Village Marina offering bright, professional office spaces, with parking for new and established businesses. The Technopole Centre in Portsmouth offers connections to specialists from the University of Portsmouth. Further inland, the BASE Bordon Innovation Centre provides office and co-working desks, with plenty free parking. Ideal for creative and digital companies, BASE Bordon also has a growing community of space sector companies. “
