Business Hampshire’s new look for 2020

Tuesday January 7th, 2020

Out with the old and in with the new – Business Hampshire, Hampshire County Council’s business investment and growth service, has unveiled a new website and look.

Previously known as Invest in Hampshire, the new website has been created to showcase all that is great about Hampshire with the aim to attract new business investment into the county and to support the growth and success of our existing local businesses, large and small.

Councillor Rob Humby, Hampshire County Council’s Deputy Leader and Executive Member for Economy, Transport and Environment, explained: “Outside of London, the South East is the second most successful region in attracting new investment into the UK.

“Hampshire is a great place to live and work, and we want to make sure we play our part in ensuring we maximise its potential by encouraging businesses to locate and thrive here.

“Although extremely well placed to succeed economically with great connections to ports and airports, we face strong competition from other areas of the UK.  We need to make sure we make Hampshire stand out, and bring all Hampshire has to offer as a business location to the attention of potential investors.”

The new website offers easy to use navigation and is mobile responsive, with information about the Hampshire economy, key business sectors, business news and how the Business Hampshire team can support businesses.

Also featured is a new interactive property and development portfolio, showcasing the key commercial and mixed-use development, investment and occupier opportunities available across the county and Isle of Wight.

Councillor Humby continued: “The type of support businesses seek out varies but often falls into one of six key areas, local transport investment, parent company investment, recruitment and attracting talent, financial support for projects, planning related support and access to local networks. Our Business Hampshire team can help with all of these and are on hand to help any businesses; all they have to do is to get in touch”.
