IT company continues to prosper in Hampshire

Freestyle by name, freestyle by nature – how an award winning IT company, based in Hook in Hampshire is seeing the rewards of their innovative approach to IT support and services.

 

Vision and ambition

Founded by Warwick Everett and Guy Wright over 17 years ago, it has been a year of reward and recognition for Freestyle IT having won the HPE Rising Star Award for UK and Ireland 2019 and securing a position in the Southern Tech 100 list 2019.

Guy Wright, Director, Founder and Owner Freestyle IT said: “My vision for Freestyle IT is to continually develop trusted partnerships with our customers and partners; allowing the business to grow and flourish. We need to constantly move forward, responding to ever changing technologies as well as creating a great place to work.”

As a Hewlett Packard Enterprise Partner their approach to nurturing partnerships, together with their investment in customer care, was recognised at the HPE Global Partner Summit in Las Vegas, where they were presented with the HPE Rising Star Award for UK and Ireland.

Partnerships and growth

Freestyle IT has established a long-term collaboration with HPE to deliver IT infrastructure solutions.  As a neutral vendor they enjoy good working relationships with some of the industries big names including Dell EMC, HP, Microsoft, VMWare and Cisco. These partnerships mean that they can offer leading edge infrastructure and cloud solutions.

Beginning life based at Basepoint Business Centre (Basingstoke), Freestyle IT has prospered and grown to a team of over 20 people, now headquartered in Hook, Hampshire.

The growth of Freestyle IT has seen a large increase in revenue and gross profit in 2018 and seen them enter the Southern Tech 100 list 2019 which highlights the regions strength in ICT and digital technologies.

People and place

Guy Wright continues: “We are based amongst green fields, near to the facilities of Basingstoke, Winchester and Andover and have great partnerships in the surrounding areas.

The majority of our staff are local, we are committed to nurturing young people’s career development, working with Basingstoke ITEC  and support flexible working and professional development.  Training plans for all our team, include annual updates of accreditation and participation in Vendor programmes.

Hampshire is a great location for an IT company, there are a number of manufacturers and distributors based nearby and we have great access to the transport network, linking us to the rest of the UK and beyond.”

Freestyle IT have a Charity of the Year programme and are currently supporting the Hampshire based charity Naomi House and Jacksplace.
