Hobby born Portsmouth business becomes major exporter

Founded in Hampshire, 2014, EasySkinz Ltd is a family business who design, develop and manufacture skins as a novelty way to protect and recolour smartphones and electronic devices. With a mission to become global, EasySkinz are using the power of the internet to create exciting business opportunities.
The family run company set up by Managing Directors, Mr. Hristo Totochev, Mr. Angel Totochev, Mrs. Iveta Totocheva and Mr. Mario Totochev has turned into an award winning company, exporting around the globe.
The idea for EasySkinz was born from their views on the marketplace for smartphone protection and the desire to offer more than just the current standard cases.
Not long after launching, EasySkinz noticed appreciation from consumers all over the world; this became the driver to add more designs to their product base. Sales have grown to more than £1m and they now export to over 140 countries worldwide every month.
Award winning
With recently winning the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade in 2019, it allowed EasySkinz to start the journey to becoming a global brand.
The Managing Directors said, “We’re incredibly proud to be given this award – it was a real honor. At EasySkinz, we take care of the whole production process – from tailoring the design and manufacturing our skins in our own factory in Fareham, Hampshire to packaging and sending them to our customers all around the world. Our mission has always been to turn our precisely designed skins into a global success and at the same time to offer a first-class experience for everyone, reaching hundreds of thousands of people, but keeping the family and very friendly behavioural element in the work with our customers and within our team. ”
Home is where the heart is
Hampshire has always been a special place for EasySkinz. Founded in Portsmouth, and now located in Fareham – it offers warmth and community for them.
“Fareham was selected the second best city to live in the UK recently, therefore choosing Hampshire as the home for our business and ourselves was, without doubts, the best decision.” said Hristo, Managing Director.
“Being a business based in Hampshire it has allowed us to meet many inspiring other businesses. We have access to very high quality supplies and endless opportunities in every aspect of our work. The growth of the region is significant, the access to new commercial property developments and the network of shipping providers for our business help us be and remain competitive.” Hristo continued.
Place for expansion
EasySkinz currently have 7 full time employees with ambitious plans to grow the team in the following years and to extend the business, creating a franchise model and opening official branded stores within the largest marketplaces. EasySkinz is currently focused into developing “skins” for a wide range of devices, improving the quality and increasing the range of the offered designs by around 30% every year.
EasySkinz regularly have apprentices join the team from local colleges, including CEMAST (Fareham College) and Havant and South Downs College. Being a manufacturer and direct-to-consumer seller online, their business model has proven to be extremely beneficial for young people who would love to join enthusiastic teams with modern, tech-friendly facilities.
