The site is previously developed land, formerly occupied by Colt International in a prominent location at the gateway to the New Lane industrial area to the north east of Havant town centre. Following the relocation of Colt International, the site was subsequently acquired by Homes England. The recently demolished Colt buildings comprised offices, laboratories and warehouses and the site is now cleared. There is now an opportunity to redevelop the site for both residential and employment purposes. The area available for employment development comprises 0.82 Hectares providing a total of 10 employment units of 2860 sq. m.

Planning permission was granted for up to 100 dwellings and 2,860 sqm of employment floorspace (classes B1, B2 and B8) in January 2019 under reference APP/18/00244.
