Outline planning permission for the development was granted in November and December 2017 on two separate sites. The combination of these two developments now forms a single site of c125 ha and provides the opportunity for a new road link between Bubb Lane and Allington Lane. The Council as landowner will determine the approach to be taken to developing employment parcels and individual buildings. A Project Overview for the site was published in July 2019.
Development considerations:
- Detailed masterplanning of the site to be undertaken for informing future planning applications
- Improved access via Burnetts Lane along with other significant road and junction improvements
- A site level Habitats Regulation Assessment will be required
