Logistics city development in Basingstoke now fully let

Tuesday January 26th, 2021

Lambert Smith Hampton have once again shown unrivalled knowledge of the South-East Industrial property market by securing the lease of the final available unit at Logistics City, Basingstoke to DFS. The 22,886 sq ft unit, known as Unit C, will be occupied by Sofology and used as a customer fulfilment centre.

Charles Wood, Director in Lambert Smith Hampton’s Industrial team commented: “This was a combined effort from our Guildford and South Coast industrial teams with Industrial & Logistics Agency and Capital Markets specialist input . The three units were built to a high standard and we were able to capitalise on a vibrant M3 occupational warehouse market to secure the final letting. This enabled our capital markets team to put together the onward sale.”

Phil Sutton, Development Director for Kier Property commented: “Lambert Smith Hampton brought this site to our attention and their Industrial Agency team advised us on a product to build. This scheme was successful and enabled us to capitalise fully on the strength of the industrial and logistics sector along the M3 corridor. The lettings that were achieved enabled LSH’s capital markets team to secure the sale of the completed investments. We are delighted with the service LSH has provided us on this scheme, showcasing their ability to act as a one-stop-shop for all market letting and investment advice.”

Hollis Hockley acted as joint agents with Lambert Smith Hampton.
