A new 40,000 sq ft Grade A office scheme is set to become the latest addition to Basing View as plans moved a step closer.

Benchmark, a new office building featuring a contemporary reception, roof terrace and a multi-storey car park, has been granted full planning permission from Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council.

The new scheme, which has been launched by the borough council and its regeneration partner, Muse Developments, is targeting a BREEAM Very Good rating and will include air conditioning and LED lighting.

Located within a five-minute walk from Basingstoke train station and within the Basing View Enterprise Zone, new occupiers will benefit from business rates relief up to £275,000 over a five year period.

Essential levelling work on the land to enable construction work to begin has been funded by Enterprise M3 Local Enterprise Partnership.

Benchmark is one of a number of new developments at Basing View, including the new 60,000 sq ft Florence Building, a new business-class Village Hotel, the redevelopment of Norden House and a new pre-let 45,000 sq ft headquarters for international pharmaceutical firm, Eli Lilly and Company.
